Lecture on International Investment Protection
On 16 May 2014, partner Erhard Böhm, once again gave a full day lecture on international investment protection within the program leading to the Master of Trade Law jointly organized by the International Training Centre of the International Labor Organization (ITCILO) and the University of Torino at the ITCLIO campus in Torino, Italy.
The lecture focused on the sources of the law of international investment protection, the substantive and procedural protections offered by bilateral investment treaties and investment chapters in multilateral treaties and the decision practice of investment arbitration tribunals.
In addition to the lecture, Erhard Böhm has been appointed external supervisor for the LLM dissertation of one of the students in the Master program.
The International Labor Organization (ILO) is the only tripartite United Nations agency with government, employer and worker representatives.
